The York School Parents’ Association (YPA) plays a large part in contributing to this vibrant community. The YPA is a volunteer organization that conducts events that increase school spirit and camaraderie. The YPA also encourages volunteerism and raises funds to support the school. All parents and guardians of current students are automatically members of the YPA.

“New to Toronto" Parent Coffee Connect - SeptEMBER 23
Dear New TYS Families,
We hope the first few days of school and/or camp have gone well for your child(ren) and that everyone is settling into new routines. As part of our onboarding at The York School, we'd like to invite all new families who are also new to Toronto to attend a casual Coffee Connect. Whether you moved from outside the GTA, from across Canada, or from around the globe, we hope you can join us on Wednesday, September 23, at 9:30 a.m. in the Library at our Middle and Senior School.
The goal of this event is to provide a relaxed and casual setting where you can connect with other families who are also new to Toronto. We hope you'll share your transition experiences, and begin to get to know one another. We will also have members of the YPA (York Parents’ Association) in attendance to answer any questions you may have, in addition to IT Tech Support to help you navigate YorkNet and other IT tools. For some of you, this will be your first opportunity to see the school, as you may have completed the admissions process virtually. We would be happy to arrange a tour after the coffee morning with one of our Student Ambassadors, so that you can finally see our school in action!
Please RSVP by September 21 to let us know if you can attend. We look forward to welcoming you to campus and helping our "new-to-Toronto families" to connect!

Alongside the YPA, we are building a network of parents and guardians interested in sharing their professional knowledge and experiences through guest speaking opportunities, class visits, and field trip hosting to help enrich student learning and co-curricular experiences at The York School. YPA Preloved Uniform Committee is accepting Preloved Uniform donations all year long.
Preloved Drive Drop-off Locations
Junior School: Preloved Uniform Drive collection boxes are on the main floor by the elevator.
Middle/Senior School: Preloved Uniform Drive collection boxes are on the main floor by the reception.
The York Shop
All Middle School and Senior School students will visit The York Shop during their gym class on either September between September 10 and September 17 to purchase PHE uniforms. Students can use their Student ID numbers to purchase items.
The York Shop will be open during lunch, 11:30am - 12:40pm from September 14 - 30. Students are welcome to drop by to purchase items.
Come and check out our new TYS Athletic wear. Full Zip Track jackets, The York School Rugby shirt and an Adidas TYS outdoor hooded jacket! We also have new Kukuri York Sport socks. Stock up on your gym uniform well you are!
