The York School Parents’ Association (YPA) plays a large part in contributing to this vibrant community. The YPA is a volunteer organization that conducts events that increase school spirit and camaraderie. The YPA also encourages volunteerism and raises funds to support the school. All parents and guardians of current students are automatically members of the YPA.

YPA call for volunteers
Come join the YPA as a member of the Pre-loved Committee, Parent Connects Committee or as a Grade Rep! It is a great way to get involved whether you are in your first year at York or your last!
RSVP for the Junior and Middle School Carnival!
The 2026 Carnival will take place on the afternoon of Saturday, May 23! Junior and Middle School families get ready for an unforgettable day at our 1320 Yonge St campus. We’re bringing the fun with a BBQ, games, obstacle courses and activities for all ages to enjoy. Please register and sign up to volunteer for the event through the link below.
The York SHOP
The Shop will be open during the following days and times:
Mondays: 11:40am to 12:40pm
Tuesdays: 11:40am to 12:40pm or if there is an assembly the hours are 12:05pm to 12:55pm
The shop is currently open during the lunch hour on Monday and Tuesday between 11:40am and 12:40pm. Please contact Leslie Pringle, our shop coordinator, if you have any questions at lpringle@yorkschool.com.

Uniform pieces in great condition?
We’ll keep them in circulation through the Pre-Loved Uniform Sale. Money raised goes toward amazing YPA events for our kids!

Stained, torn or out-of-date pieces?
TYS partners with a company who will shred them and turn them into insulation!
Extend the life + usefulness of your uniform pieces by dropping them in the YPA Pre-Loved bins! We greatly appreciate your support.
