Lunar New Year Festival - Thursday, FebRUARy 19
Our Asian Student Alliance alongside Ms. Zhao’s Mandarin students and community members will celebrate the Lunar New Year with our annual recess/lunch-hour festival on Thursday, Feb 19.
This will be a casual dress day and we are encouraging staff and students to celebrate by wearing red or their own cultural attire.
At the festival students and staff can try their hand at brush and ink calligraphy, jianzi, Chinese yo-yo, and much more! Students will be given red envelopes at the festival and as they travel from station to station, they will collect gold coins as we celebrate the year of the horse!
Additionally, we will have a formal tea ceremony led by Seren D. and her mother. Students interested in attending, must sign up in advance. A google form will be emailed out to them.

Challenge Week Virtual Parents Information Sessions - Save the Date
All Grade 6-10 parents (and students) are invited to attend our Challenge Week Virtual Parents Information Sessions on Thursday, February 19 at 5:00pm*.
(*Please note that the Grade 6 Challenge Week Virtual Parent Information Session will start at 5:30pm)
These Parent Information Nights will be an opportunity to learn more about the details of your child's upcoming Challenge Week excursion. The lead teacher of your child's trip will be in touch in advance to share the google meet link via email.
