Holocaust Remembrance and Education Field Trip - Grades 7-12 - Thursday, Jan 29

In honour of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the York School will be offering an optional field trip to Baycrest on Thursday, January 29. This trip is to complement our Middle & Senior school assembly that will take place on Tuesday, January 27.

At Baycrest we will have a tour of their facilities, with a focus on learning about their Jewish community and, in particular, the care for the largest number of Holocaust survivors living in one location in Canada. We will also hear Holocaust survivor testimony and engage with some of the residents.

We will depart York at 12:30pm and return by 4:00pm. Please note this trip is for students in Grades 7-12.

If your student would like to attend, they must sign up using this form (from their York account). Cost of transportation will be charged.

Questions? Contact Erin Porter, Director, Student Life & Belonging at eporter@yorkschool.com.
