Does your child need a quiet space to work on assignments, review class material, or get a little extra support with schoolwork? The SSC Learning Lounge is open to all Middle School students during lunch recess (11:40am – 12:10pm) in Room 400. Ms. Maz and Ms. Rhemtulla will be available to support students - no appointment needed! Encouraging your child to drop in is a great way to help them stay on top of their work.
Student Life & Belonging
Terry Fox - TOMORROW!
We are excited to kick off our first all-school House challenge event - York’s annual Terry Fox Walk/Run - tomorrow!
Students are expected to wear their Terry Fox shirt, if you ordered one, or as much House-coloured spirit wear as possible! Students should also remember to bring a full water bottle to the run and wear sun-safe apparel (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen).
Students will travel with their period 3 or 4 class to the run depending on their grade. Students in Grades 7 and 8 will then return to York and be dismissed after homeroom at the end of the day. Students in Grades 9-12 will bring their belongings with them and be dismissed between 3:15pm and 3:30pm directly from David Balfour Park.
Families who would like to support our school run with a monetary donation, can do so to our York School team page.
