Student Life & Belonging

YORK SCARES HUNGER - Annual Food Drive

This year, we are encouraging students and families to help alleviate food insecurity in our community and city by supporting our annual York Scares Hunger campaign in one of the following ways:

  1. Bring in the following items and place them in your House bin outside the Student Life office in the cafeteria or the Middle School commons between October 13 - October 30.

  2. Donate financially to The Daily Bread to support the purchase of fresh foods for families and people in need in our city.

Questions? Please contact Erin Porter, Director, Student Life & Belonging at eporter@yorkschool.com.

YORK HALLOWEEN COSTUME DRIVE - Tuesday, October 14 - Friday, October 16

In addition to our annual Food Drive, the Eco Committee is encouraging families to scour their homes over the long weekend to find Halloween costumes and accessories that are in gentle-used condition and donate it for children in need throughout our city. Divert textile waste and help others get into the spooky season in style!

Starting Tuesday, October 13, until Friday, October 16, students can bring in any old Halloween costumes to the Student Life Office in the cafeteria.

Questions? Please contact Cathy Gordeyev, Eco Committee Faculty Advisor at cgordeyev@yorkschool.com.
