Locker and Desk Clean Out
Over the next two weeks students will be given time to clean out their lockers and desks.
Students should take everything home for the summer
June 2 to 13 at Noon - Lost and Found on Display
All lost and found items will be on display in the Fitness Centre for students to peruse.
Wednesday, June 4, 7:00pm - 9:00pm - Grade 8 Semi-Formal
Our Student Life & Belonging Team, The YPA and Middle School Student Council are excited to celebrate the end of middle school and invite all grade 8 students to semi-formal social (games and dance). It will be a memorable event for our grade 8s.
The Semi-Formal will be in the cafeteria at 1320 Yonge Street.
The theme is New York, New York!
A ticket fee of approximately $25 will be required to attend, and will be deducted from student accounts.
Snacks and drinks will be provided - please note that we are not serving dinner.
This Parental RSVP is due back by Tuesday June 2, 2025.

Tuesday, June 10 - Grade 7 & 8 Math Exams - Exam Schedule Linked
8:30am - 10:00am, Grade 7 Math Exam.
1:00pm - 2:30pm, Grade 8 Math Exam.
Grade 7 & 8 students are only required to be present for their exam. There are no classes before or after the exams.
Grade 6 students have a regular scheduled day.
Students should wear their regular school uniform.
Wednesday, June 11, 8:45am - 3:30pm - Canada’s Wonderland Trip
If your child is Not participating in the Canada's Wonderland trip, please email Middle School Leadership Coordinator, Diana Rowell, at rowell@yorkschool.com or Middle School Administrative Assistant, Sally Warren, at swarren@yorkschool.com.
There are no alternative programs if your child chooses not to attend.
Thursday, June 12 - Exam/Project Return, Action Morning, YPA BBQ Lunch, Dress Rehearsal for Closing
8:30am - 10:15am, Exam & project return.
10:15am - 12:00pm, Action morning.
12:00pm - 12:30pm, YPA sponsored BBQ lunch.
12:35pm - 1:30pm, Dress rehearsal for closing. Attendance is mandatory for all Grade 8 students.
Grade 6 Chamber Band, Grade 7 Ensemble students, Honor Band and Grade speakers.
Athletic wear is permitted for all students.
Friday, June 13 - Middle School Closing
All Grade 6 & 7 music and honor band students should meet in the band room at 8:15am.
All Student speakers should meet in the gym at 8:30am.
All other students should be in their homeroom for 8:30am.
The Middle School Closing runs from 9:00am - 10:30am.
Grade 6 & 7 students will be dismissed immediately after closing.
Grade 8 students and their families are invited to a reception in the cafeteria from 10:30am - 11:30am.
Students should wear their regular school uniform.
TYS Peer Tutoring Program: Math Exam Prep Sessions for Grade 7 & 8 Students
As your end-of-year math exam approaches, it’s normal to feel a bit stressed, and no one understands that better than Senior School students who’ve taken this very exam before!
To help you feel more confident and prepared, our Senior School Peer Tutors will be running two after-school study sessions:
Session 1: Tuesday, June 3, 3:30pm – 4:30pm, Room 428
Session 2: Thursday, June 5, 3:30 – 4:30pm, Room 428

Closing Ceremony Student Information
The Middle School dress rehearsal for closing ceremonies is on Thursday, June 12 from 12:35pm - 1:30pm. Attendance is mandatory for all Grade 8’s, Honor Band, Grade 6 and 7 Music students and Grade speakers.
On Friday, June 13, Middle School students should be in their homeroom classroom for 8:30am.
Band performers - meet in the band room at 8:15am
Student speakers - meet in the gym at 8:30am
Closing Ceremony will be held from 9:00am - 10:30pm
Grade 8 Reception will be from 10:30am - 11:30am

Click on the unique registration link on the bottom of the email confirmation and then follow the registration steps on the De La Salle LIVE site which include entering your name and setting up a password.
3. YOU ARE NOW LIVE! Enjoy your viewing experience. If you experience any technical challenges in viewing the live or on-demand videos, select the “Need Help?” link on the Yorkschoo LIVE homepage.
