STUDENT LIFE & BELONGING
CELEBRATING ROSH HASHANAH IN OUR JUNIOR SCHOOL COMMUNITY
Next week, many of our Junior School families will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Rosh Hashanah is a joyful holiday that marks the beginning of the High Holy Days in the Jewish calendar. It is a time for reflection, new beginnings, and hopes for a sweet year ahead.
It’s a time for reflection, to celebrate new beginnings, enjoy sweet foods like apples and honey, and spend time with family. We asked some of our students and teachers to share how they celebrate Rosh Hashanah in their homes. Let’s take a look!”
Celebrating Rosh Hashanah 2025 Video
On Monday, September 22 we will be serving apples and honey as our morning snack to all of the students to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. The apples are crisp and fresh, and the honey is sweet. Together, they remind us of the wish for a sweet new year filled with kindness, joy, and good things to come. We wish our Jewish families a Shanah Tovah, a happy and sweet new year!
