WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Class Placement: On May 1, a form was sent for you to help us create our class lists for next school year. We asked for you to identify EXACTLY 3 compatible peers who support your child to be their best self as a learner. We cannot guarantee that they will be with all of those students but we will try our best to accommodate at least one of your requests. If you submit more than three names, only the first 3 will be considered and if you submit fewer than 3 we cannot guarantee that you will get your choices.

As a kind reminder, there are no requests for teachers. Form submissions are due by May 12, 2024. After this date we will no longer be accepting requests.

If you have already submitted your request form but want to change your mind, please just complete the form again. We will only use the most-recently submitted form.

  • Nut Free Reminder: In order to protect children with nut allergies (the most common food allergy) we ask that when you pack snacks and lunches, you do not send any foods that contain peanuts, nuts, or nut-related products.

Foods that have the “May contain…” label are unacceptable, as are foods that specify nuts in the ingredients list. If your children have peanut butter or any other nut-related product for breakfast please ensure that they brush their teeth and wash their face and hands before going to school.

  • Allergy Medication: With spring allergy season upon us, families are reminded that all meds even allergy meds that need to be taken by students during the day should be handed in to the school and stored in our health room with an accompanying email explaining how they are to be administered.

GRADE 4 & 5 SPRING CAMP NEW MOON

Please complete the Camp New Moon Level 2 Venturing Out forms (with all trip details) via YorkNet by Thursday, May 15. We are excited to head up to camp this June to celebrate the students’ hard work, the end of the school year, and for our Grade 5 class the end of their Junior School experience.

  • Spring Camp Dates:

    • Grade 5 - Monday, June 2 - Wednesday, June 4

    • Grade 4 - Wednesday, June 4 - Thursday, June 5

We hosted our Student Information Sessions in all homeroom classes this week and shared what to expect in terms of drop off & pick up, programming, accommodations, meals, and the packing list. The students had great questions and we are looking forward to celebrating the end of the school year with this outdoor experience. The slide deck has also been shared with students and parents.
