YPA CALL FOR FUN DAY VOLUNTEERS!
We are looking for many volunteers for each grade to help facilitate our year end Fun Day on Thursday, June 12 in the morning.
Please sign up to volunteer using this form. Volunteers will be confirmed by email on or by Friday, May 30 (as it is possible that interest will exceed available spaces). All confirmed volunteers will be needed, rain or shine!

JS TRACK & FIELD DAY 2025
We are looking forward to good weather and our annual Track & Field Day on Friday, May 6 for JK- Grade 5. Students will walk to Oriole Park and participate in Track & Field Stations in house groups. The activities will build physical literacy skills, knowledge of Track & Field events and teamwork.
Students should come to school in their PE uniform and running shoes as this is a York Athletic Casual Day.
We are also encouraging students to accessorize with their house colours to show their spirit.
They will also need to bring hat, sunscreen and a water bottle
Grades JK-2 will be at the park from 9:00am - 11:00am and Grades 3-5 will be there from 1:00pm - 3:00pm Lunch hours will be slightly adjusted to accommodate departure times. JK & SK will eat at their regular time 12:00pm - 12:30pm. Grade 3, 4 & 5 will eat at 12:30pm - 1:00pm and Grades 1 & 2 will have a later lunch from 1:00pm - 1:30pm. YPA CALL FOR GRADE PARTY VOLUNTEERS
We are looking for a handful of volunteers for each grade to help facilitate our year end grade parties on Friday, June 13 1:00pm - 3:00pm.

Attention: Grade 5 Parents - Incoming Grade 6 Musical Instrument Trials
As you may already know, we begin instrumental music in Grade 6 at The York School! If your child will be joining us next fall, they will be learning an instrument as part of our curriculum.
To help facilitate this, Mr Pittman, Mr. MacFarlane, and several instrumental specialists will be hosting an instrument trial buffet on the evenings of Wednesday, May 28 and Thursday, May 29 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at the 1320 Yonge Street campus. We will send out the appointment schedule sign-up to all incoming families on Friday the 23 at 4:00pm. The appointments usually take 15 - 20 minutes per student.
