University of King’s College in Halifax This February, King’s will be hosting a virtual essay writing workshop open to all high school students. In this webinar, students will learn how to write an academic essay. This is an excellent opportunity for keen students who are interested in King’s academic programs and want to get a sense of what they are like. The webinar is scheduled for Sunday, February 18 at 4:00pm Atlantic. And…King’s is bringing back Humanities for Young People! This summer enrichment program is geared towards high school students from the ages of 15 to 17 who are interested in the humanities. Students will have a chance to stay on-campus, engage in exciting workshops, and explore the city of Halifax! The session will run from July 6 – 14, 2024.


Interested in AI? AI Scholars Program Overview

AI Scholars Live Online is a 10 session (25-hour) artificial intelligence bootcamp that exposes high school students to fundamental AI concepts and guides them to build a socially impactful project. Taught by our team of graduate students from Stanford, MIT, and more, students receive a personalized learning experience in small groups with a student-teacher ratio of 5:1. Thinking about medicine? Premed Projects are offering another exciting range of summer projects for your students that are looking to apply for university courses in medicine. They are running special 1-week and 2 week projects in The UK and in Thailand during the holidays in July and August 2024 designed for students aged 14-17 from all over the world to take part in. 

The Summer camps are attended by students of every different nationality and the medicine work experience projects are designed to combine learning about life as a doctor with an unforgettable travel experience too for students.

Students will spend weekdays shadowing highly skilled doctors in their day-to-day work on a fully-supervised hospital placement. Students will also have the benefit of clinical teaching, safe and secure accommodation, food, airport transfers, local orientations, 24/7 support from our staff teams and lots of help with preparations for their trip too. Johns Hopkins University We want to extend a special invitation to your high school juniors to join us for Junior Preview Day on Monday, February 19, 2024! (This is the Monday of the February Mid-Term Break - Family Day)

Junior Preview Day offers students an opportunity to see what it’s like to live and learn at Hopkins. In this half-day program, students will have the opportunity to tour our Homewood campus, learn about financial aid, connect with current Hopkins students, and attend application workshops that guide them through every stage of their college search process.
