Upcoming University Visits at York


Grade 11s have completed the university counselling form and are beginning to book appointments with their counsellors. They have been encouraged to start:

  • Compiling information from resources including: University Websites, University Student Blogs, viewbooks, videos.


Ontario Universities' Information Sessions: May 6, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm (ET)

This virtual event is divided into 4 sessions, where students can learn about the universities of their choice and ask questions. This event is tailored to Grade 11 and younger students who are beginning their university research. Registration is available now.


The University College Dublin (UCD) High School Summer Program for North American students is currently accepting applications with a deadline of May 1.

This two-week program is designed for students who are considering going abroad for their full undergraduate degree and have the opportunity to complete workshops with our different academic colleges all the while learning about Irish history and culture with our academic staff. 

Dates: July 8-23, 2026Cost: €3,450 (apx $3,990 USD & inclusive of everything except airfare, snacks, and souvenirs)

Summer Program key features:

  • A two week pre-college program for academic and cultural enrichment 

  • Irish History and Culture course presented by UCD faculty

  • Field trips to support student learning as well as social & cultural activities

  • Faculty-led workshops in Business, Science, Engineering and Architecture, Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, etc.

  • Introduction to student life, including accommodation in single rooms in on-campus flats

  • Application workshop and opportunity to meet 1:1 with college advisors to discuss academic programmes (majors)

  • Small course size - maximum enrollment is 35 students

  • Students must be 16 or 17 years old by the program start date

International University of Monaco Summer School 2026: Learn Luxury & Sport Business in Monaco

This summer, the International University of Monaco invites students from around the world to join a unique two-week immersive learning experience in the heart of the Principality. From June 29 to July 10, 2026, participants will explore the dynamic worlds of Luxury Business & Communication or Sport Business Management, while enjoying an international academic environment and the Mediterranean lifestyle.

The Summer School combines academic excellence and real-world exposure, with 60 hours of face-to-face learning, interactive case studies, guest speakers, and company visits. Students will also develop key soft skills through shared core courses such as Event Communication and Cross-Cultural Communication & Professional Etiquette, designed to prepare them for international careers.

Participants will gain hands-on insights into leading industries through real examples and field experiences in Monaco, a global hub for luxury brands, major sporting events, and international business. Small class sizes and an international student body ensure a personalized and enriching experience.

The program is open to students aged 18+ who have completed high school and wish to broaden their international perspective.

Global Sustainable Development Competition

The Global Sustainable Development (GSD) Department at the University of Warwick is delighted to invite your year 11 and 12 students to enter our 2025 competition.

We hope that this will provide your pupils with the opportunity to engage with a topic outside of their curriculum and give them insight into the type of thought-provoking issues involved in the study of Global Sustainable Development.

The Social Change and Youth Leadership Conference (SCYLC) is a two-day conference for high school students in the GTA, focusing on awareness of global development and critical engineering thinking skills. Students will participate in expert lectures, workshops, and interactive activities. Their skills will be put to the test in a final case competition where they will work in teams to develop and present an innovative solution to a panel of judges. Students have the option to participate as an overnight attendee and stay at one of UofT St. George’s residences, or attend as a day attendee.

Each year the conference is based on one of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. This year, the theme is Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy. Learn more about it here!
