Global Sustainable Development Competition

The Global Sustainable Development (GSD) Department at the University of Warwick is delighted to invite your year 11 and 12 students to enter our 2025 competition.

We hope that this will provide your pupils with the opportunity to engage with a topic outside of their curriculum and give them insight into the type of thought-provoking issues involved in the study of Global Sustainable Development.

The Social Change and Youth Leadership Conference (SCYLC) is a two-day conference for high school students in the GTA, focusing on awareness of global development and critical engineering thinking skills. Students will participate in expert lectures, workshops, and interactive activities. Their skills will be put to the test in a final case competition where they will work in teams to develop and present an innovative solution to a panel of judges. Students have the option to participate as an overnight attendee and stay at one of UofT St. George’s residences, or attend as a day attendee.

Each year the conference is based on one of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. This year, the theme is Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy. Learn more about it here!

TED Summer School 2026

TED Summer School is a two-week public speaking, communication, and leadership programme developed in partnership between Immerse Education and TED. The students will be guided by expert tutors trained by the TED team. At the end of the program, each student delivers a TED-style talk, which is recorded and shared as part of a personal portfolio, alongside a formal certificate and individual feedback.

Downing College: We are delighted to invite you, your students and their parents to a free online webinar introducing the Downing College International Programmes in the University of Cambridge. 

Our programs, designed and delivered by college staff, aim to give students the opportunity to gain an authentic UK study experience, and find out more about what the University of Cambridge and studying in the UK has to offer. 

The webinar will be led by Dr. Kamran Yunus and will include a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute live Q&A session. The session will provide guidance on the undergraduate application process as well as an overview of the International Programmes offered by Downing College.


AI Essay Competition - Judged by MIT and Oxford Researchers

Singularity: AI Essay Contest is an international essay competition where high school students write about the future of AI - its risks, its possibilities, and what it means for the world. Prompts are contributed and judged by researchers from MIT, Yale, and Oxford. Free to enter and open worldwide, winners receive up to $2,490 in scholarships to any Veritas AI programs.

OCAD University’s Annual Graduate Exhibition (GradEx) is Toronto’s largest free art and design exhibition, featuring the work of more than 800 graduating artists and designers across all our programs.
