New School-wide Communication Tool: BrightArrow

As part of our continuous school improvement efforts, The York School has implemented the BrightArrow Notification Service, which will allow the school to send a message via voicemail, text, and/or e-mail to provide important information in the event of an emergency, snow day or other unexpected occurrence.

The successful delivery of information is dependent upon accurate contact information for each parent, so please make certain that we have your most current phone numbers and email addresses. We kindly ask parents to visit Yorknet and update their contact details if any changes have occurred this year.

Thank you for your cooperation and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at helpdesk@yorkschool.com.

Athletics

What a week. Congratulations to our Open Boys Ski team who has qualified for the OFSAA Championships in Collingwood being held February 25 to February 27, 2023. Our Varsity Boys Basketball team and Varsity Girls Volleyball teams are also vying for positions at OFSAA.

Our Girls Volleyball program continues to develop from the grassroots to Varsity with our U13 girls earning the right to host a CISAA championship.

It is amazing to celebrate all the success of our teams, but we always have to celebrate the link between sport, well-being, and learning! Watch this great little video about physical activity and learning. Good Luck to Our JV Boys who travel to Peterborough this weekend to participate in the Kawartha Classic.
