DAISY’S REFLECTIONS FROM ICE WINTER CAMPING 2024

This adventure is completely unlike any other school trip we have been on and it is especially different from our daily lives.

I am forever grateful to be presented with such an opportunity. The great sense of accomplishment that flooded our grade was more than enough to make all of the struggles we faced worthwhile. This adventure has taught me that your positive attitude is truly what offers the most guidance, and what carried us through the trip.

Athletics

This may be the most exciting athletic week of the year. We had an amazing Raptors community night last Friday with 65 people who welcomed back fan favourite Fred VanVleet (Raps won 107-104).

This week upcoming is full of final playoff tournaments for our U10 - U12 teams, while our U13 Girls Volleyball team have earned the right to host the Final Four Championships along with our Varsity D3 Boys Basketball and U14 D1B Boys Basketball team (both teams went undefeated).

Finally, our Varsity Boys Skiing team is off to the OFSAA (provincial championships) in Collingwood next week, while our Varsity Boys D1 Basketball and Varsity Girls D1 Volleyball teams are also on the brink of qualifying as well. Three teams at OFSAA would be an absolutely phenomenal accomplishment for York.

Next week will be full of some amazing highlights. Stay tuned.
