Choose To Include Donuts - Friday, February 2 - Sunday, February 4

One of our graduating students, Christian P-H (‘24), has been volunteering for the past year with the Special Olympics organization, coaching basketball on Thursday evenings at our Junior School.

To support the Special Olympics, Tim Hortons has created a “Choose to Include” donut. 100% of the proceeds from these donuts will go to Special Olympics Canada and support the return of the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Calgary, from February 27 to March 2 – the first time since 2020.

We would like to encourage York families who are interested in supporting this initiative to visit their local Tims from Friday, February 2 to Sunday February, 4 and enjoy a Choose to Include Donut!

Athletics

What an awesome week at TYS. Our U13 Boys Basketball team is in Ottawa reppin’ our school in the National CAIS Tournament. Our Junior School teams (U9, U10, U11) have started their season which is amazing. Fun, exciting athletic experiences at a young age only fuel athletes to continue to play sport throughout their life.

The world is full of amazing coaches. One of them is Geno Auriemma who has the led the successful University of Connecticut Women’s Program for year. Daily improvement is what we want to be about here at TYS. Listen to this little clip about body language: Body Language with Coach Auriemma.

GoTYS!
